A Practical Checklist for Reviewing a P2P USDT Offer

A security-focused checklist for P2P offers covering limits, payment instructions, account protection and platform disputes.

A P2P offer is more than a price. It is a set of terms from a specific merchant on a particular platform. Before deciding whether an offer is suitable, check its limits, payment instructions, completion conditions and the protections offered by the platform itself.

Check the offer limits

Confirm that your intended amount falls between the minimum and maximum order size. A quote shown on a comparison page may be attached to a much smaller order than the amount you want to trade.

Read payment instructions carefully

Check the accepted payment method and the account-name requirements shown by the platform. Do not move a conversation or payment outside the platform's official process because another party asks you to. Follow the marketplace's current rules and dispute process.

Compare the complete amount

Look at the total naira cost when buying or net proceeds when selling. Review any fee shown by the platform and consider whether the displayed rate applies to your exact amount. A high sell price or low buy price alone does not establish that an offer is the best choice.

Keep account security in mind

  • Use the platform's official website or app and check the domain carefully.
  • Never share a password, one-time code, seed phrase or private key with a merchant or support impersonator.
  • Do not release an asset based only on a screenshot or message claiming that payment was sent.
  • Use the platform's official confirmation and dispute workflow.
  • Keep records of the order ID and relevant in-platform messages.

Do not assume a merchant is risk-free

Badges, completion statistics and account age may provide context, but they do not guarantee a safe outcome. Read the current platform information and use its protections. If anything about the instructions or payment status is inconsistent, pause and contact official support.

After the transaction

Confirm that the asset or funds are reflected in the correct account before considering the order complete. Report suspicious activity through the platform's official channel. This guide is general educational information, not a guarantee that a particular offer or counterparty is safe.
